The loctician then offers recommendations. Sisterloc installs call for a longer consultation first. Extension and reattachment appointments also open with a consultation, which checks hair density and hair health and whether the method suits the client.

For clients starting out, the business offers starter locs using medium-sized starts, the palm roll method and a bricklayer grid, with cleansing, deep conditioning and a basic style included.
