Each visit begins with a thorough consultation, and stylists talk through the process and products before any service is performed. Appointments are pre-planned, so the staff and products are ready when a guest arrives, and each guest gets one-on-one service with a stylist. Guests waiting for an appointment can have a drink and read fashion magazines, and a retail area is open for products. Esthetician services take place in a private room downstairs.

The salon puts real weight on helping guests care for their hair between visits. Suggested intervals include haircuts every 6 to 12 weeks, trims every 2 to 4 weeks, silk presses every 2 to 3 weeks, and relaxers every 6 to 12 weeks depending on hair type and texture. Keratin treatments last roughly 3 to 5 months, and a root touch-up after a single process color is suggested every 4 to 6 weeks. Extension maintenance is done in the salon, and guests adding hair are asked to book extra time. Color changes and corrections are estimated as accurately as possible, and some requests take more than one visit.

Services are priced separately. Color foil services are billed by the hour with maximums: partial foil two hours, full foil highlights three hours, and custom foil application four hours. Appointments can be booked online or by calling 215.745.5200, and hair-health questions can be emailed to scheduling. A credit card must be kept on file to book, and it is charged for a missed appointment. Changes need 24 hours' notice; same-day cancellations and late cancellations are charged in full. Refunds are not given, guests should come alone without children or pets, and the salon is open Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday.
