Miracles Salon opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1994 and is family owned and operated. Its founder, Olympia Hantzopoulos, began working in the hair industry in summer 1982. She trained at La Biosthetique in Paris, where she studied hair and skin conditions under polarized light, and at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London in 1998. She earned an aesthetician certification in 1989, and in 1996 she became a certified cosmetology instructor and created Miracles Hair Academy. For a period she also owned an Aveda Concept Salon in Old Town Alexandria while running Miracles Salon.

Every service is done with Miracles by Olympia haircare, a line that is sulfate and paraben free and sold both online and in the salon store. Color and highlight services are built around a range of techniques, from retouches and glosses to double process color and full balayage, with add-on treatments such as Olaplex and the Miracles Oil Treatment available alongside them.
The salon also takes wedding bookings for the wedding party, including dry runs, bridal hair and airbrush bridal makeup. Wedding services book up months in advance and can accommodate parties of up to twenty people. Off-site or after-hours wedding work is handled through an email inquiry.
