There are four showrooms: Signal Hill, California (listed under Long Beach, at the Cherry Ave address), Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Hollywood, Florida. Signal Hill is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Los Angeles and Hollywood are open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 6pm, with Friday hours of 10am to 3pm in Los Angeles and 9am to 3pm in Hollywood. Brooklyn is open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 6pm. Spanish-speaking specialists are available at the Signal Hill and Hollywood showrooms. Visitors can book other times by calling the nearest showroom or 562-426-2971.
A visit begins with a free consultation, which can be held in person at a showroom or virtually. In-person sessions usually run about an hour and include trying on caps, colors, and lengths. Virtual sessions run about 45 minutes by video or phone and can be done from anywhere in the country, with the wig shipped afterward. Clients fill out a short intake form beforehand and can upload inspiration photos. Each consultation is a private meeting with a Milano wig specialist covering fit, color, style, and personalization. Consultations carry no obligation to buy, and appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours ahead.
Hair types offered are virgin, European, processed, and euro premium processed. Length, color, and density can be customized, with stylists tailoring each piece to the client. Optional color and cut services are priced separately from the free consultation.
Shoppers can pay through a wear now, pay later arrangement or Klarna payment plans. Flexible spending account and health savings account funds can be applied to medically necessary wigs and toppers, depending on plan rules, and some insurance plans may cover part of the price. Purchases totaling $100 or more ship at no charge within the continental US. Returns and exchanges are free if made within 5 days. Current clients may schedule a complimentary video consultation of roughly 15 minutes covering fit, styling or care questions. The business also operates a loyalty scheme called Milano Beauty Rewards.
