MGR Beauty Academy Studio B

MGR Beauty Academy is the training side of Mimi's Glam Room, a beauty space known for hands-on services and client transformations. The academy grew out of that business. It states that it has more than 1,800 students and 15 or more years of experience.

Classes are held in person at Studio A and Studio B, both on Rosemead Boulevard. The lash program runs 10 weeks and covers classic, hybrid and volume sets, lash mapping, lifts, tinting, fills, removals and aftercare. Nail training takes 6 weeks and covers Gel-X, acrylic, prep, shaping, French, ombré, chrome and nail art. Makeup artistry is a 15-week course that includes soft and full glam, bridal, quinceañera, contour, brows and lashes. The hair styling and extensions program covers blowouts, curls, braids, updos, Hollywood waves, bridal and quinceañera styles, and several extension methods.

Spanish-language instruction is offered for select classes in Pico Rivera, with Spanish reading materials and workbooks. Students who cannot attend in person can take a self-paced online Lash Lift and Tint course, which includes a training kit and a certificate of completion once course requirements are met.

Beyond classes, the academy takes client bookings for hair, makeup and combined packages. The team confirms availability and the final quote before any payment is taken. Quoted starting points include regular hair styling from $150 and bridal hair and makeup from $550. The academy also runs a retail shop for lash and beauty tools, aftercare products and lash supplies, a referral affiliate program that pays commission on referrals that book or buy, and business mentorship covering pricing, content, portfolio building, supplier guidance and next steps after certification.
