Mars Studio

Mars Studio is a hair salon in Charlotte, NC, and the studio says its mission is to give guests a safe break from the outside world. Guests are offered drinks and snacks during their visit. The team includes Ashley Marie, Jenny Fish and Lacey Neal.

Services range from short and long cuts, dry cuts and bang trims to dimension color, sparkle coverage, gloss and color shifts. Lacey Neal focuses on color and offers hair extensions after a consultation about upkeep and method. Ashley Marie handles haircuts and color for natural tones, and offers at-home styling sessions. Jenny Fish specializes in textured cuts and color blocking.

Several parking options are available. Street parking directly out front is handled through the Park Mobile app and has a two-hour limit. Free street parking can be found on Summit Ave, Kee Ct, S. Church St and Bland St. Park Mobile also covers a lot opposite the salon, at the corner where Winnifred St meets Winona St. A garage inside the building can be entered from either Winona St or Bland St.

Cancellation rules are set out clearly. Cancelling within 48 hours of an appointment requires 50% of the reservation cost before rebooking, and cancelling within 24 hours requires the full cost. Arriving 15 minutes or more late will likely mean rescheduling, which counts as a short-notice cancellation. Repeated short-notice cancellations may end the working relationship. Gratuity is included in every service and is not expected at checkout.

Guests may decline to be photographed. They can also say at any point if something during the appointment feels uncomfortable, and the stylist will make adjustments. Reviews are optional and can be left on Gloss Genius or Google.
