Client work starts with a consultation, after which the team builds a specialized plan for each person that considers both internal and external health. Services include hair and scalp analysis, porosity determination, dietary assessments, hair loss treatment plans, hair restoration, grooming and styling consultations, and hair product recommendations.

The company evaluates hair as it is, whether natural or chemically treated, and works with straight, curly, short or long hair regardless of ethnic background. It describes its hair care approach as patented and its practitioners as certified and vetted hair specialists. The course has a regular price of $997 paid once, or can be paid in 2 payments of $520, 3 payments of $355, or 6 payments of $185. Completing it earns a Certificate of Completion, awarded after finishing the course and passing CITI training, which is a separate requirement.

Mane Insights also offers keynote speaking and corporate consultations on hair care topics for events and meetings. Donations help support hair research, with proceeds going to supplies, testing, hair samples and other resources.
