Mane Illusions SMP & Brows

Mane Illusions SMP & Brows is a scalp micropigmentation and brow studio run by owner and practitioner Tamara Teague. The studio is in Nolensville, just south of Nashville, and is described as a welcoming, professional space that is cozy and clean. Scalp micropigmentation is offered to men and women and can be done on short or long hair.

The SMP services are grouped around hair loss, covering alopecia, balding, thinning hair and damage from hair transplants, as well as scalp scar repair for scars from injury, surgery or transplants. Each SMP pigment is matched to the client's hair color and skin tone, and the pigment is described as carbon-based and designed not to shift to an unnatural color, though it may gradually fade. Sessions run about three to four hours each, and the number of sessions depends on how much hair loss there is. Alopecia typically takes two to four sessions. A visit begins with a free 30-minute consultation for SMP or brows, which can be booked online. The consultation is also where a quote is given, since the cost depends on the severity of hair loss and the number of sessions. The SMP process moves from consultation to a customized treatment plan, then pigment application and aftercare.

The brow menu includes Nano Brows, which place fine hair-like strokes with a digital machine using a single needle, Powder Brows for a softly shaded, filled-in look, Combo Brows that pair hair strokes with soft shading, and Mano Brows designed for men. Nano Brow appointments usually take two to three hours and include consultation, design, a topical numbing step and application. Nano Brows can also be combined with SMP. The studio says it prioritizes hygiene and safety, and it handles client information and inquiries confidentially.
