Mane Focus Hair Studio operates from its own private suite in Cary rather than a larger salon floor. Sam Marie owns the studio and does the work personally. Sam spent several years as a salon stylist before opening the suite.

A visit is built around one guest at a time, in a quieter setting. Color services range from root touch-ups and gray coverage to all-over color, with a blowout included in several of them. Highlights are offered in individual, halo, partial and full formats, and toner or gloss can be added to finish the color. Extensions are installed with butterfly or wide weft tape, and the hair itself is priced separately.

Appointments are available on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Clients can cancel online up to 48 hours ahead; later changes go through the salon directly, and a 20% fee applies to cancellations within 24 hours and to no-shows.

Views hair work as both a craft and a way to help people feel their best, with an emphasis on a personal, unhurried visit and long-term relationships with clients.
