Mane Aura is a hair salon in downtown Sacramento offering cuts, color transformations and styling. The salon describes its goal as creating an experience clients enjoy, and describes its stylists as passionate and talented.

Color is a major part of the menu, from partial and full highlights and balayage to blonding, dimensional brunette work, toning, gloss and gray coverage. Color correction and color removal are offered as well. Color correction is priced at $100 per hour and requires a consultation to book, with a starting package of $400 that includes five hours; extra time is $80 per hour. A consultation is required before any color service and must be completed at least 48 hours before the appointment. New clients must have a consultation before highlight services.

Curly hair has its own menu, including first-time and returning curly cuts, kids' curly cuts for several age ranges, a men's short curly cut, the Curly Ritual (a curl assessment, custom cut, detox, treatment and scalp massage) and a Curly Cut Package that adds a consultation, detox, hydration and curl education. Clients are asked to arrive with hair down, in its natural state and free of severe tangles or matting. Children's cuts need clean, dry, detangled hair with no styling products.

Other services include silk presses, blowouts, twist and braid outs, a keratin treatment that smooths frizz and straightens curls for three to four months, extensions and locs. Bookings are made through the salon's GlossGenius page, and booking any service means agreeing to the salon's policies. Services require a deposit that varies by service. Early Bird appointments at 7:00 or 8:00 AM are offered on a limited basis as an add-on to a haircut or blowout, and those fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Hair that falls past mid-back is booked under the Long Hair Service. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.

Color work is planned in a consultation before booking, with a strand test available for clients who want to see the result on a small section first.
