LUNA was created about five years ago by Cheraea, who had worked at several large-scale salons before opening her own space. The salon sits in the heart of Edmonds, close to restaurants and coffee shops, and runs from a suite inside Salon Republic.
Color is the core of the menu, from partial and full balayage and highlights to blonding, corrective color, all over color and grey coverage at the roots. The salon says it uses current color techniques. Every color service includes a custom gloss and a full blowout and style, and gloss can also be booked on its own. Root shadow, a $50 add-on, can be paired with any highlight service.
Extension work covers hand tied and weft installs. Every extension service begins with an in-person consultation so the cost can be estimated. The consultation fee does not count toward installation. Packages include the extension hair, installation, a blending haircut, a full style and a gift bag of recommended products. The hair is ethically sourced human remy with cuticle intact and double drawn. Maintenance appointments for wefts are priced by row, and color for extensions is charged separately.
New clients are asked to book a consultation for $35, which is waived if they attend the appointment. Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours are charged 50 percent of the booked service, and a no-show is charged the full amount. Arriving 15 minutes late may mean the full service cannot be performed. Clients who are unhappy with their results should contact the salon within 7 days, since some goals take more than one session. Products can be exchanged within one week, but refunds are not given.
