LOCd By Ni is run by owner and loc stylist Niasia Graves from a studio at 1902 Niagara St. in Buffalo. The menu centers on loc care, from starter locs and retwists to loc styling, micro locs and loc maintenance, and also includes braids and add-ons that can be worn over existing locs.

Starter locs are priced by loc count, starting at $300 for up to 90 locs and rising to $415 for 151 to 200. Loc retwists follow the same count tiers, and include a wash, style and scalp oiling, with an upcharge for locs longer than mid back. Elemental loc retwists are available for a reset at the lowest count tier, and the site notes that high tension styles are not recommended with them.

Bookings are held with a non-refundable $25 deposit, which can be paid by Apple Pay or Zelle and must arrive within 24 hours or the appointment is released. The remaining balance is paid in cash before service begins. Clients get a 10-minute grace period; after that a $35 late fee applies, and arriving 20 or more minutes late cancels the appointment. Cancellations are asked for at least 24 hours ahead, and no-shows or same-day cancellations can cost booking privileges. Each client may reschedule twice.

Consultations are required before starter locs, micro locs, loc repairs or reconstruction, and loc extensions, and an appointment cannot be booked without one where it is needed. Micro loc pricing is set during that consultation, with a starting point of $275 for ear to shoulder length. Kids services cover ages 3 to 10, and wash is not included for ages 3 to 5.

Consultations come before starter locs, micro locs, repairs and extensions, and micro loc pricing is set personally at that visit.
