Loc'd by TK works on Sisterlocks and microlocks, traditional locs, and styling for straight hair. Beyond client appointments, the studio offers professional loc courses and one-on-one mentorship for locticians who want to grow their skills or their business.

Maintenance is the core of current bookings. Retighten-and-wash visits are booked by weeks since the last appointment: the 4 to 6 week visit includes a cleanse, retightening and a restorative steam treatment and is booked for 3 hours, while the 7 week visit adds a deep cleanse with extra attention to new growth and may run longer depending on growth and pattern retention. The 8 and 9 week visits follow the cleanse, retighten and steam pattern and are booked for 4 and 4.5 hours. Crowns 10 weeks overdue are booked for 5.5 hours, starting at $670, with the price rising for each additional overdue week.

Right now, maintenance appointments are accepted only from existing clients, and new loc installation appointments are not being booked. Consultation requests are currently taken only for Micro Interlock Extensions. The studio's starter and transfer consultations are described on the site. The Starter Locs Consultation runs 30 minutes or more and covers hair texture, lifestyle, long-term goals and the choice of loc method. The Transfer Client Consultation is a 30 minute visit for people who started locs with another loctician. It includes a deep cleanse, maintenance and style guidance, plus a repair assessment when locs show thinning, breakage, budding or irregular parting.

Micro Interlock Extensions are booked by consultation request. The 2 hour consultation sets the sizing and length. The $200 consultation fee covers foundations on loose natural hair and is included in the final price; for existing locs, the foundation price is not included. Clients need at least 3 inches of hair, and longer hair costs extra per inch. Extensions come only from SolarLocs, the preferred vendor. They are ordered after the consultation and hand made, with 3 to 4 weeks of processing and shipping. The studio says it has specialized knowledge of Micro Interlock techniques.

Hair I Detect (HMAT) is a hair analysis service using an in-salon sample kit and lab mineral and toxic metal analysis. It includes a 60 minute results consultation led by the trichologist and a customized recommendations plan. Samples take 2 to 3 weeks from lab receipt, and the full experience runs 3 to 4 weeks from booking.

The courses are built around skills students can use in their own loc businesses. The interlock course covers locking patterns, retightening, common issues and loc repair, with tools provided and six months of ongoing support. The private one-on-one microloc maintenance course covers retightening, locking patterns, grid maintenance, tension control and troubleshooting, with tools, supplies and six months of post-course support. A private 2 hour Sisterlocks course teaches clients to retighten new growth and maintain their own grid. Broader courses cover loc fundamentals, consultations, building a loc business and brand development.

Policies: the consultation fee is paid at booking and is non-refundable. Full payment is required before any service begins, though partial payments may be offered for select services. Payments for completed services are non-refundable. Hair product sales are final, and returns or exchanges are not accepted once an item has shipped. Damaged, incorrect or defective orders must be reported by email within 3 business days of delivery, with photos. Approved product issues may receive a discount code or, at the stylist's discretion, a service credit.

The studio's philosophy is that healthy locs depend on proper technique, consistent maintenance and ongoing education.
