Lo Nicely Skin & Beauty is run by Lauren Nicely, who built the business from a small group of friends and family clients. Much of its growth has come through referrals, professional relationships and social media, and the business reports more than 100,000 Instagram followers.

The studio offers three areas of service: makeup, skin care and waxing. Makeup work includes bridal makeovers and wedding makeup. Skin care services focus on preventing hyperpigmentation and healing acne, and facials are available to minors aged 13 to 17 with a parent or guardian's signature. Advanced treatments and intimate waxing are limited to clients 18 and older.

The business says it uses only quality, clean, corrective skin care products and that it centers on enhancing natural beauty, starting with the skin. It also sells skin care products from the Skin Script, Face Reality and Kin Aesthetics lines.

Booking is by appointment only and must be made by contacting the studio directly, as online scheduling through the platform page is not currently available. A 40% deposit is due at booking and is non-refundable. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours' notice incur a charge of 100% of the service, and reschedules must be made within 8 weeks of the original booking date. Clients arriving 10 or more minutes late pay a $25 late fee, and those more than 10 minutes late have the appointment cancelled with the remaining balance charged. Payment is accepted in cash (exact change) or by credit or debit card. Guests, including children, are not permitted at appointments unless they are being serviced.
