Lively Hands

Lively Hands is a salon in Forest Hill, Texas, offering natural hair care alongside braiding, locs, extensions, color and treatments. Clients can book the full range of services by phone or text at 817-754-0012 or through the booking platform.

Every service is by appointment. The salon recommends booking about three weeks in advance. A nonrefundable deposit secures a booking and goes toward the total. A deposit can be moved to a new date if the change is made within 30 days of booking; after that it is forfeited. Changes or cancellations at least 24 hours ahead carry no penalty, while later cancellations are charged 50% of the service price and no-shows 100%. Arriving more than 30 minutes late means rebooking and forfeiting the deposit. Tips are welcome but not required.

The menu is organized around natural hair work: loc starting, maintenance, interlocs, instant locs, repairs and reattachment, and loc color; knotless, box, jumbo, Fulani, passion, kinky, Nubian, Marley, flat and natural twists, cornrows and plaits; and tape-in, clip-in and closure sew-ins with crochet styles. Preparation services include removing braids and extensions and braiding hair down for wigs, sew-ins and crochet styles, plus dematting for heavily matted hair.

Color options range from demi temporary color and full or partial highlights to balayage and ombré. Treatments include custom steam, protein, premium keratin smoothing and detox steam. Styling covers the signature silk press, flexi-rod and roller sets, trims and flat iron or wand curls. Men's cornrows are also offered.
