Lalo Valentino was founded by Bobbie de la Fuente, who co-owned Art + Gold Salon in the Bay Area for seven years before opening the Belmont salon. The team is made up of a color specialist and two stylists who also work as extension specialists.

About

The salon's philosophy rests on color, texture and intention, and it treats hair as more than appearance. Every appointment begins with a conversation about the client's lifestyle, vision and goals, so the work is planned around what the client wants from their hair.

The color menu runs from blonding and global lightening to classic tints, foil and foilayage highlights, hand-painted balayage, toners, gloss and colormelts. Texture options include Keratin Complex, Curl Cult Texture Service and Pura Luxe, and extensions are offered with pricing set at consultation. Haircuts and up-styling for occasions are also available.

Booking is online through MangoMint. New color clients book a complimentary consultation first, and some services, including Full Blonding Session, Transformative Blonding and Lived In Color, require a consult or have eligibility rules based on previous color. Rates vary by stylist, so clients are asked to inquire when booking. The salon is open Tuesday 10 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday to Friday 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM.
