Co-owners Mel and Bailey run La Jolie Suite, which sits on Hague Avenue inside the Sola Salons building. Before opening their own space, the two worked side by side for six years at an upscale salon in the Twin Cities.

Services cover women's and men's cuts, blowcombs, event and wedding hair styling, all-over and root color, highlights, foil, and balayage. Hair color is done with Matrix's Logics line, and haircuts and styling use Kevin Murphy products, which can also be bought in the salon.

The studio has natural light and a relaxed, personal feel, and clients are invited to sit and have a drink while they wait. To find it, enter Sola Salons, turn left, and walk to the last suite at the end of the hallway on the left. A parking lot and free street parking are both nearby.

Pricing examples include a haircut at $70, a blowcomb at $55, a color at $105, balayage at $180, and a balayage with color at $210. Clients who refer someone receive $10 off. An extra $10 is added to the color service when a client sees only Bailey for color and styling. Cancellations within 24 hours and missed appointments are charged 50% of the service price, with limited exceptions for weather emergencies and personal illness or injury.
