La Costa Lash

La Costa Lash is a small lash studio in Encinitas, run by Maria Romero, who works as an independent lash artist and owns the business. She has six years of experience in the beauty industry, and worked five years at Amazing Lash Studio before going independent. She has been working on her own for about one year.

Extension work is built around custom sets. A La Costa Fullset takes about 120 minutes, is available in classic, hybrid, or volume styles, and costs $185 with a $50 deposit. First-time guests who book a Fullset receive a free aftercare kit. Between full sets, a Refill session takes about 70 minutes and costs $110 with a $20 deposit. It removes lashes that have grown out and replaces them, and is recommended every two to three weeks.

Natural-looking lash services at the studio include a semi-permanent Lash Lift for $100 (about 60 minutes), a Lash Lift with tint for $120 (also about 60 minutes, requiring a $20 deposit), and a Korean Lash Lift for $135 (about 75 minutes). The Korean option is built on three products: a lifting-and-softening lotion, a neutralizing lotion and a treatment mask. Lash Tint is available alone for $20, taking about 20 minutes.

Deposits are set at 20 percent at booking and come off the balance on the day of the appointment. Deposits are kept for cancellations made within 24 hours of an appointment and for no-shows. Children and extra guests are not allowed in the studio unless they are there for a scheduled service; a minor receiving a service may have one parent or legal guardian present. The studio is open Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday from 8 AM to 7 PM and closed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
