The salon says its goal is to offer expertise and support for every beauty and esthetic need, using high-quality products such as Aveda. It serves men, women and children, offering services from hair to brows and selling product lines. The salon describes itself as the best salon in The Woodlands and calls its customer service unsurpassed; these are the salon's own claims.
Every service begins with a consultation, where guests can share concerns, allergies or medical conditions. Some requests take more than one visit. Guests can have a beverage during their appointment. Only the guest being served may be on the styling floor, and other guests wait in reception. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Services are not refundable for any reason, because of the consultation process. Guests are encouraged to book their next appointment at checkout and to give at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Appointments may need to be rescheduled if a guest runs late.
The curly hair menu covers curly pixie cuts, refresh and first-time cuts, and a range of color options from custom color through balayage and full highlights. Color on new curly hair requires a consultation before the first booking. Curly cuts include a shampoo, conditioning and diffused style. For a dry cut, guests should arrive with shampooed hair, no product except a light leave-in conditioner, and hair in its natural texture.
Sterling Ridge hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Monday (limited staff), 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Wednesday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Accepted payments are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks and cash, and returned checks carry a $25 fee. New guests can download a $20 gift to book their first appointment.
