Surgery is done under local anesthesia with the patient fully awake, rather than general anesthesia. The practice describes tumescent liposuction as the safest form of liposuction, with a fast recovery, and says patient safety comes first, followed by cosmetic results and a quick return to normal activities. Most patients return to work within one to two days and wear postoperative elastic support garments for one to five days. HK Pads, absorptive pads placed on the skin afterward, take up drainage.

Liposuction is offered for the face and neck, arms, chest and breast, abdomen and flanks, buttocks, hips and thighs, back, and knees and legs.
