Keldara was launched by sisters Eileen Casey and Jeanne Gianino and has been serving clients since 1999. The salon takes up more than 15,000 square feet at the back of Dedham Plaza, reached from Route 1A (Washington Street) about half a mile from Exit 29A of Route 128. The team includes senior stylists, stylists and salon apprentices, along with estheticians, nail technicians and massage therapists on the spa side.

The setting supports that with spa lounges that offer robes, slippers, tea and a couch, essential oil scents in the air, semiprivate manicure and pedicure rooms with windows between stations, a semi-enclosed shampoo room, and soft music throughout.

Long or thick hair may incur an extra charge at the stylist's discretion, and consultations are complimentary.

Beyond color, the salon offers a French haircut and styling, smoothing treatments, curly hair services, bridal hair and hair treatments. The spa menu includes facials, nail services, brow and lash services, waxing, massage and makeup. Clients can choose one of two spa packages or put together a custom package of only the services they want.

Groups can book spa parties in a dedicated event room for bachelorette and bridal parties, birthday parties and baby showers. Parties accommodate up to 30 guests, or up to 50 with conference-style seating. They should be booked at least eight weeks ahead, with a deposit and a credit card to hold the room.
