A visit starts with an in-person consultation to find a suitable treatment. Every service can be paired with a complimentary guided meditation or silent appointment. The rooms use neutral colors and soothing scents, and artists apply topical numbing agents during permanent makeup procedures.

The studio uses products it describes as high-end, cruelty-free, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Its online shop sells a KD Brows product collection with brow tools and brow pigments, along with a brow pencil, brow gel, brow and lash oil, a brow and lash cleanser and an angled brow brush. A brow lamination kit is also sold for at-home use.

The studio runs a three-day, hands-on microblading class limited to five students per group, open to beginners as well as experienced artists. The class covers color theory, contraindications, safety and sanitation, healed results, hair-stroke work, skin depth, blade handling, photography and social media, legal considerations and business basics. Tuition is $3,500, with a $1,000 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit and the $2,500 balance due one week before the class. Payment is accepted by Zelle, PayPal, Venmo or cash, classes are booked by emailing info@kd-brows.com, and students receive ongoing support afterward. Online courses in brow lamination and brow henna are also offered.

Microblading clients receive an aftercare ointment for healing, which can take up to four weeks. Clients are asked not to pick or pull at scabs, since this can remove pigment, and to avoid petroleum jelly and Vaseline, with jojoba or coconut oil as a substitute if needed. Heavy scabbing, redness or discharge should be reported to the artist promptly. A touch-up visit after about a month is common. Cosmetic tattoos typically keep their best look for two to three years, and some last up to five. Typical cosmetic tattoo costs range from $600 to $1,000 nationwide including the first session and possibly a touch-up, and the studio says its master artists charge $700 to $1,000 for the initial appointment and touch-up combined.

Brows are custom-designed to suit each client's face, and the studio favors a calm, consultation-led visit.
