Kayla's Manes operates inside Modern Strands on El Paseo, the design district of Palm Desert. Parking is directly behind the suite.

The services fall into colour, cutting and styling, length and volume, repair and occasion work. Every appointment begins with a consultation, and new colour clients are offered a consultation slot before their first full appointment. Clients can send a photo of their current hair and the result they want, and receive an honest read on what it would take to get there. Clients are welcome to bring inspiration photos to their appointments. All services are priced by consultation.

Colour is planned around each client's texture, growth pattern and how they wear their hair, with the health of the hair coming first. Lightening and colouring are paired with bond protection, and colour is placed so that it grows out softly, which reduces how often roots need touching up. Each visit ends with a finish plan the client can recreate at home, along with the products to take home.

Hand-tied extensions are colour-matched and installed flat and blended. The salon describes its wefts as ethically sourced. Bridal and event styling is available on request.

Healthy hair comes first, with colour planned around texture, growth and how the client wears their hair. Every colour service is paired with bond-building and a finish plan clients can recreate at home.
