Founded in 1999 by Adam and Kathy McCaffrey, the salon was started by two stylists whose careers together add up to more than 63 years. According to the salon, its goal is to deliver up-to-date looks and skilled service in an easygoing, welcoming atmosphere.

Every visit starts with a consultation, where the stylist talks through the client's goals and offers feedback so the service can be tailored. Complimentary consultations are available, and a price quote can be given before any service is performed. Prices vary by stylist level, and the salon has six levels based on experience and demand. Prices include a shampoo, though some services do not include a blowdry.

Stylists take part in in-salon classes each month and attend monthly meetings on emerging trends and methods. An education director on site trains newcomers and works on new techniques. The team is taught by some of Redken's leading educators from around the country and also goes to Redken's Fifth Avenue location in New York for further training. The salon retails KAS Professional Hair Care, which can only be bought there. The salon says it earned the 2021 Best of GA award, has been named Best of Gwinnett for 17 consecutive years starting in 2010, took Best of Buford in 2020, and received a Citysearch award. It also reports being ranked among the top 200 quickest-growing salons in America by Salon Today Magazine for seven years running. The salon says it has been nominated for a Global Salon Award and that its work has appeared nationally and internationally in hairstyling books and magazines.
