Bridal work usually starts with a trial. Bridal makeup and bridal party trials are $175 each and are offered Monday through Thursday only. Trial dates can be confirmed within two weeks after the trial, and a wedding date can be held without a trial by paying a deposit. Timing is planned at 30 minutes per person, with 60 to 75 minutes for the bride.

Beyond weddings, the studio does engagement photo, rehearsal dinner and bridal shower makeup, event makeup, TV, print and ad work, and one-on-one or small-group makeup lessons. Trained artists who work in Julie Kate's style take on parties and other bookings when she is fully booked or as a lower-cost option.

Foundation is applied by hand, with no airbrush machines. The studio uses professional-grade products, and its primers and setting products are formulated for photography. The business states that it aims to provide the highest quality makeup artistry to brides.
