JMR Studio

JMR Studio is a private, appointment-only studio operated inside Sola Salons in Timonium. Jaime Dotter is the owner and the studio's only employee, so clients work one-on-one with the owner. The space offers free parking, WiFi and disabled access, services are offered in English, and the studio is listed as kid friendly. It accepts American Express, Discover, Visa, MasterCard and cash, and sells gift certificates. Open Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM to 8 PM, Monday from 1 PM to 8 PM, Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is closed on Sundays and Wednesdays.

The extension menu covers Chemo Girls extensions, Nano extensions applied with the Laserbeamer, fusion, micro bonds, tape-in wefts and V-Light extensions for very thin areas, which can be combined with other techniques. Chemo Girls extensions are built with Micro Fusion bonds made of natural organic resin, each one created and installed by hand, and can be sized to the area, health and density of the hair. The studio also carries Hairwear by Hairtalk toppers and Jon Renau clip-in toppers, offers Microlines as a non-surgical hair replacement system, and provides keratin treatments, color and haircuts. Free consultations are offered for extensions and for Microlines.

Booking is by appointment. First-time clients are asked to contact the studio before booking, and not every appointment is available online. Evening, weekend, extension and Chemo Girls appointments are booked directly through the stylist, and according to the team page, weekend appointments are available for Chemo Girls extensions only. No-shows are charged the full appointment cost. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead are charged half the appointment cost, and clients who arrive 15 or more minutes late may need to reschedule, which counts as a cancellation and is charged at half.
