J. Scott Studios

Set in a natural surrounding in Concord, J. Scott Studios is built around private studios rather than one open floor. Each stylist works from a space suited to their own practice, and clients book directly with the provider they want.

Jeff Taylor owns the salon and works there as a master colorist and stylist. Color is at the center of the work. Kimberly Willesch and Natalie Hadesh also work from the salon, each with their own menu, so prices and services vary by stylist.

The salon uses Goldwell, KMS, Wella and Olaplex, and individual stylists also work with Redken, Pravana, Arete, Intelligent Nutrients, Nufree, Nudesse and LifeVantage. According to the salon, it has tested products worldwide and chosen the ones it considers best, and it describes its products and professionals as leading in strength, shine and hair integrity. Clients can book online through the website or directly with their provider. Arrivals are expected on time, and guests may wait in the lobby after letting their stylist know they have arrived. Changes need at least 48 hours' notice, and late cancellations carry a 50% service fee. Services and prices may change, and gift certificates are redeemable only with Jeff Taylor.

According to the salon, donated hours and cash go to three community groups: United Way of Lake County, the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and The Waves of Health.
