Wedding bookings are taken by its sister location, 501 Salon + Spa, while spa treatments are offered at the 501 Spa in Bellevue. Industry Salon itself does not presently provide full spa menus.

Appointments are made through online scheduling software, and clients fill out intake paperwork digitally to cut down on printed forms. Before a visit, guests are invited to note any allergies, sensitivities or preferences, and they may send reference photos via Instagram or email in advance. Arriving a few minutes ahead is appreciated because a late arrival can result in a shorter service; anyone feeling ill is asked to book another day. Changes require 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee of 50% of the service price. Children under 12 are welcome only when they have their own booked service; otherwise, an adult must watch them in the waiting area.

Every hair service ends with a blow-dry finish, and shampoos use a warm towel infused with essential oil. Hair services also include an aromatic neck and shoulder massage. Guests who would rather not chat can book a Quiet Appointment at no charge. Parking is on the street, so allow a few extra minutes; street cleaning on 9th and Saratoga runs March through November, and cars can be ticketed on cleaning days. Hours are Monday to Friday 9 AM to 8 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM.

Apprentices learn every service through hands-on training in the apprentice program. Haircut and color services are offered at model pricing during that program, and interest in modeling is collected through an online form. Model appointments include a thorough consultation and a longer service time, with questions talked through alongside higher-level stylists, and a final check-in with the Salon Director or a Senior Stylist. Stylist titles reflect experience and continuing education, and service pricing follows those titles.

The salon sells Aveda and Davines products and gift cards, and accepts retail returns or exchanges within 14 days of purchase if items are lightly used and resellable. It works with Aveda and Davines, which the salon describes as certified B Corp companies. Shipping boxes and packaging from those brands are recycled or reused, empty bottles are recycled or refilled, and caps and containers are reused or recycled. Providers use reusable gloves and masks, color waste is measured daily with a goal to reduce it each quarter, and worn guest towels are reused as sanitation towels. Guests can add an optional donation toward sustainability efforts.

Aims to enhance each guest's individual style, and says it is working to be more sustainable and reduce its carbon footprint.

Industrial and urban in feel, with many live plants, some potted in glass jars made from used Aveda candles.
