HM Aesthetics opened in fall 2020 as a facial studio in Danvers. The studio describes itself as focused on holistic skin health, and it draws clients from Salem, Beverly, Peabody, Marblehead, Newburyport and Gloucester as well as the rest of the North Shore.

Treatments are built around the individual. The HMA Custom Facial includes a full skin analysis, selected treatment modalities, massage, masks and home care recommendations. The studio's professional-grade skin care line was chosen after review of ingredients, delivery systems, clinical studies and ethics, and products are picked up by appointment.

Booking works differently from a walk-in salon. Appointments are by booking only, and new clients join a waitlist first, after which the studio contacts them to schedule a first visit. A valid card is kept on file to hold an appointment in place of a deposit. Changes need at least one full day's notice to avoid a 100% cancellation fee, and arriving more than 15 minutes late can mean the appointment is canceled or rescheduled and charged in full. Reminders go out by text or email 72 and 48 hours ahead. Gift cards are available.

Studio hours are Monday and Tuesday 12pm to 8pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 2pm, with the studio closed Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary with provider availability. The studio does not allow children, due to safety rules for its equipment and products.

Looks at the body as a whole, including gut health, hormones, diet and lifestyle, and builds a series of treatments around a personalized home care routine.
