Wedding clients reserve their date with a signed contract and a $250 non-refundable retainer, which is credited toward the final wedding day invoice. Wedding day makeup has a minimum of five applications or the equivalent of $850. The wedding party size can be finalized up to 14 days before the wedding, and a detailed makeup timeline arrives one month before. One artist can handle up to eight applications at 45 minutes each, with the bride's application taking 75 minutes. Trials are recommended two to three months ahead. They take place at the Monticello studio Monday through Thursday, and weekend trials may be possible for an extra fee. Gratuity is not included in pricing; tips are optional and can be paid at the final balance or directly to the artists in cash or by Venmo on the wedding day.
Wedding day hair styling is not offered, and updos are not part of the menu. Everyday styles such as curls, straight styles and simple braids are available, and the makeup and hair service is set up to last the day. A preferred hair vendor list can be shared on request for wedding hair.
On-location work is available across the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and Wisconsin, with bridal on-location makeup offered across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Travel fees start at $25. An early start fee of $50 per half hour per artist applies for services beginning before 8:00 AM, a $150 holiday fee per artist applies to wedding services on a holiday weekend, and an extra artist costs $250. Overnight accommodations for early starts or long trips are charged at the artist's discretion. Commercial day rates are quoted individually.
Brushes and the makeup kit are cleaned between every application and after every job. The kit carries all shades of foundation, and services are open to all races, ethnicities, genders, religions and orientations. The business states that its airbrush foundation lasts about 15 hours and is water resistant, and that its high-definition makeup is water resistant and meant to last the full day.
