The salon offers waxing and sugaring to both men and women, and treats all skin and hair types. Its sugar paste is designed to adhere mainly to hair rather than skin, which is why the salon often suggests sugaring for sensitive skin. Each client is matched with one of four waxes or sugars, and estheticians adjust every service to that client's skin and hair. Most appointments last 15 to 30 minutes. Before a visit, hair should be very short, typically two to three weeks of growth, and results usually hold for three to four weeks. Most clients come back every four to six weeks. According to the salon, regular treatments lead to finer, slower regrowth over time. Clients who currently shave can move to waxing once their hair is long enough. Very coarse hair, such as beard hair, may not suit waxing or sugaring.

Every esthetician completes a three-month program to become certified in the salon's sugaring technique, and each also completes advanced certification focused on pain-reduction techniques, according to the salon. The salon says its training goes beyond aesthetics school and describes its team as highly skilled in Brazilian waxing and sugaring and in bikini and full-body work. Enzyme treatments for the underarms and the Brazilian area use enzymes to dissolve dull, dead skin, with brighteners added in targeted areas. An intimate lightening treatment is offered for sensitive areas, and the salon says it can help with discoloration from hormonal imbalances and scars, among other things. Laser hair removal is also available, with sessions spaced several weeks apart.

A membership includes one service each month, for a chosen service type and area, and a fresh voucher is issued every month. If a member skips a month, the unused voucher carries forward. Memberships are billed monthly and may be paused or cancelled at any time with no fee. Members can redeem them at any Hello Sugar location, depending on availability, and can save up to 20% on services. Sign-up is available online or during an appointment. Additional areas require their own membership, priced at the member rate.
