Headhunters Studio operates from a private studio suite in Edgewater, with Amber Hammersla as its owner and operator. Amber has worked behind the chair for over 20 years and focuses on custom coloring, foiling, cutting and styling.

Options range from a blow out or a dry cut, which needs clean, straight hair, to shampoo, cut and style, and a V cut designed for thick hair. For color, there is a basic root color and cut for regular touch-ups every four to eight weeks, partial and full blonding with foils, and blonding customization. Customization covers foil placement, root melts, glosses and treatments, takes about four and a half hours, starts at $450 and requires a $50 deposit. Clients with thick or long hair are asked to book additional time when choosing a service, and conditioning treatments and extra time for color services can be added on.

Clients who want a time that isn't showing can join a waitlist and should complete all requested details. The schedule is often full, but new clients are welcome. A consultation request lets clients choose a preferred available day, after which the studio gets in touch. Questions can be sent through a contact form. Men's and children's haircuts are not currently being accepted.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations are charged 50% of the scheduled services, though the fee can be waived in special circumstances, and three or more last-minute cancellations or no-shows may lead to service being discontinued. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000 with approval before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final. The booking page lists 142 reviews.
