Hairspace is located on Tacoma Avenue South in the Brewery District. Kimberly bought the salon in the fall of 2022, and it had its grand opening in September 2024. The salon describes itself as Tacoma's premier hair salon.
Rather than one team under one roof with shared booking, the stylists here work as independents within a collective. Each keeps their own schedule, and clients book with their chosen stylist through that stylist's own page. Everything is by appointment, with both daytime and evening times available.
The salon's approach centers on taking each client's path to healthy hair seriously. Services range from cuts finished with a shampoo and blow dry to color, smoothing treatments, styling, bridal work and nail art, and professionals bring different specialties such as dimensional color, precision cutting, grey coverage and men's grooming.
Independent stylists share the salon as a collective, each running a separate schedule, and the shared focus is taking the client's route to healthy hair seriously.
