Hair Energy Co

Hair Energy Co is a small studio in Jacksonville Beach run by owner and hairstylist Tara Simancas, who works one-on-one with each client. According to the studio, its approach rests on the belief that hair carries energy, and that tending to it can help a person feel grounded and reconnected with themselves. Appointments are paced without rushing, with the goal of helping clients relax and want to return.

Each visit begins with a signature tea. Looks are shaped around the individual, matched to a client's energy, lifestyle and preferences. The Seasonal Crown Ritual is the studio's signature offering: a two-hour session combining herbal scalp treatments, scalp massage, a grounding tea, meditation, styling and a haircut. The collection changes with each season and is released four times a year.

Products are chosen with care. Color comes from low-tox lines, styling and finishing products are clean, and herbal treatments and seasonal rituals use handcrafted preparations made with organic, seasonal ingredients. The studio says it selects the most natural, safe and effective products it can find while still performing professionally.

Beyond cuts and color, the studio offers hair extensions. A complimentary 30-minute Extension Consultation covers hair history, maintenance and custom ordering, and the application is booked separately. Self-Styling Mastery is a hands-on class in which clients learn to style their hair with their own tools and products.
