Hair by Feree is run by its owner and master colorist, Feree, from a single chair in a suite at 11720 Medlock Bridge Road in Duluth. Because one stylist works with one client at a time, each visit gets the stylist's full attention from start to finish. Clients travel to the studio from across Gwinnett and North Fulton counties, and the studio sits about 5 minutes from Johns Creek, 15 minutes from Alpharetta and Suwanee, 10 minutes from Peachtree Corners, 8 minutes from Berkeley Lake, 15 minutes from Norcross, 20 minutes from Roswell and about 25 minutes from Lawrenceville.

According to the salon, its balayage is the color service guests ask for most often in Duluth, Johns Creek and Alpharetta. The studio calls its approach luxury balayage, color and precision cuts. Color formulas are mixed individually for each client, taking into account skin tone, natural base and the shine they want. Because balayage is blended rather than applied as full coverage, the salon recommends a Tint Touch Up with foils for complete gray coverage. A balayage visit typically runs about 2.5 to 4 hours, and every lightening service is followed by toning. Most clients come back every 3 to 5 months for a gloss or toner between appointments.

Keratin smoothing is done after color so the smoothing treatment seals in the shade. With sulfate-free care, keratin results typically last several weeks, often up to three or four months. Color can also be corrected after a consultation when the previous color came from another salon or from a box dye. Clients are advised to get a haircut every 6 to 10 weeks, or every 10 to 12 weeks while growing hair out.

Booking is by phone or text at (770) 765-2213, or by requesting an appointment online. Online requests are confirmed personally, usually within one business day. Every service begins with a personal consultation, and listed prices are starting prices that are confirmed at that visit. Final balayage and keratin pricing depends on hair length, density and the lightening needed. Reschedules need 24 hours notice. The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am to 7pm, Thursday and Friday 11am to 8pm, and Sunday 9am to 6pm, and is closed Monday and Saturday. According to the studio, it offers 30 signature services.
