GlowHaven by Jaine is run by its owner, Jaine, and operates by appointment only. Visits are arranged around the client's chosen location, and the equipment needs about the space of a small closet, so it can be set up indoors or in a garage.

Each appointment is one-on-one and begins with a personalized consultation. The spray session itself takes about 15 minutes; the rest of the visit goes to questions, concerns, and setting up and taking down the equipment. Clients are asked to have the area cleared and prepared on arrival. Clients may tan nude or wear disposable tops and bottoms supplied by the business. A confirmation text goes out 24 hours before each visit, and cancellations are requested at least 8 hours ahead. The card entered at booking is charged only if the service is requested, and payment is taken at the end by cash, card or Zelle. Add-ons can be booked the same day as an appointment.

The tans are formulated with Norvell products, which include pH-balancing additives. According to the business, Norvell is made with botanical antioxidants and without harsh chemicals, nut allergens or heavy oils. Each tan is customized to the client's skin tone, desired result and lifestyle, with the aim of a natural finish rather than an orange one. The business describes its spray tan as a premium, luxury experience. Standard color develops in about 6 to 24 hours, while express color develops in about 1 to 3 hours. Glow Getter is listed under the Express Color heading, and color is expected to last 5 to 10 days depending on preparation and aftercare.

Clients are asked to exfoliate the day before and shave 24 hours before, and to avoid moisturizers, fragrances, deodorants and heavy body products beforehand. After the tan, they are asked to stay dry for 6 to 8 hours, rinse with warm water without soap at the first shower, moisturize twice daily, and avoid chlorinated and very hot water. The spray tan does not provide sun protection, and a cream-based sunscreen is recommended. Spray tanning is suggested at least 2 days before an event. A hotel travel surcharge of $20 applies, and locations outside the listed service areas carry an additional $0.15 per mile. The final price is given at booking.
