Cornrows can be done for adults and children, alone or combined with braids or sew-ins, in curved or geometric designs; clients may bring in a photo of the design they want. Braided styles include box, knotless, boho, micro, goddess, lemonade, Fulani and snake braids, as well as braided ponytails and men's braiding, and a wash is included before any braiding style. Synthetic braiding hair is used for all styles, and human hair is recommended for boho braids.

Loc work is a particular focus. Services include loc starts using comb twists, a two strand twist method, backcombing for straight or wavy hair, and instant locs, along with wash and retwist, crochet tightening, micro loc retightening, loc repairs, detoxes and dreadlock removal. A consultation is required before an initial loc start, and its $25 fee goes toward the service. Loc applications usually take one to two hours and can run up to twelve, especially on straight hair. The salon will restart or fix loc starts done incorrectly elsewhere if they are within three to six months of starting.

A visit typically begins with an initial consultation to assess hair condition and recommend services and products. Before work begins, the salon gives a detailed price quote, since the total depends on length, texture, condition, the style being transitioned from and the time required. Sew-in appointments come with a cost breakdown beforehand. Bookings can be made by phone at (651) 646-5854 or through the online contact form, and walk-ins are taken first come, first served, including early mornings. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and the salon is closed Sundays. CashApp payments carry a 3% charge, and there is an ATM in the building.

Biftu's Blends is the salon's own line of all-natural hair products, made by the founder with essential oils, base oils and hand-whipped butters. Products sold in the salon include a hair growth oil and a twisting pomade. The salon also offers natural hair education, including curly hair treatments using handmade products.

Aims to support hair health by using fewer harsh chemicals and less heat, choosing care that suits each client's natural texture.
