Biftu is the owner and founder of Global Braids & Salon and works as a stylist there. She has spent 29 years in the hairstyling industry and trained at Scot-Lewis Cosmetology School. Alongside that formal training, she learned about black, textured hair outside traditional beauty school.
Her work centers on braids, locs and natural styling for black and textured hair. She also created Biftu's Blends, an all-natural hair care line.
