Freshie Salon

Freshie Salon was founded in 2020 and describes itself as a boutique urban salon centered on current cuts and color. It sits in the SoWa neighborhood of the South End, with street parking on Wareham Street that is limited and an attended lot on Medford Street behind the building. The Red Line to Broadway, the Orange Line to Back Bay followed by a walk, and MBTA buses 8, 10 and 47 all serve the area.

The stylists believe every client can reach the hair color they want, and the work begins with understanding what each person is aiming for. Haircuts, color and extensions are the core services. Booking works differently from a walk-in salon. Appointments are required, and the salon texts a confirmation three business days ahead. Cancellations need 72 hours notice; later cancellations are charged half of the scheduled service to the card on the booking, and no-shows are charged the full amount. Corrective color and extension work asks for a deposit of half the scheduled service when it is booked.

Adjustments to a haircut or color are handled within two weeks of the previous visit, so clients are asked to call promptly if something needs changing. The salon does not give refunds; an unhappy client is encouraged to call so that correction options can be discussed. Products bought in the salon can be exchanged within two weeks of purchase.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 2 to 8 PM, Wednesday and Friday 11 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM. The salon is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The stylists operate on the belief that each client can get the color they are after, and they plan around the individual's goals.
