The spa takes a holistic view of skin, pairing facial work with attention to overall body care. Products come from several professional lines that use botanical, natural and organic ingredients, and the shop carries a curated selection of botanically based skincare plus body care. Sugaring has been offered since 2012. The paste is made from sugar, lemon and water, applied at body temperature, and removed in the direction of hair growth using biodegradable gloves. The spa calls sugaring an eco-friendly option and describes its treatments as results-driven.
Facials run 60, 80 or 95 minutes. Clients change into a facial wrap so the face, neck and decollete can be treated. Before a facial, clients are asked to stop prescription retinol one week ahead and over-the-counter retinol, exfoliants and sun exposure a few days ahead, and to arrive with a bare face when possible, since makeup can be removed at the spa. Clients with sensitive or reactive skin are seen, and anyone with a specific allergy can message the spa first. Facials are recommended every four to six weeks. Lash lifts take about an hour and last six to eight weeks, and a patch test is available for clients concerned about reactions. The spa states that its lash lift artists are certified.
Appointments are booked online up to two hours ahead, and a waitlist is available for same-day or future openings. A card on file is required. Cancellations made 48 hours or more ahead are free, cancellations within 48 hours are charged half the treatment cost, and same-day cancellations are charged in full. Clients arriving more than five minutes late may not be accommodated. Phones are not permitted during appointments, and no additional people may be in the treatment room. Children may not attend appointments, and a minor receiving treatment needs a parent in the building for the full visit.
Each facial is customized to the client's skin, and clients leave with a personalized home care routine and instructions for using each product. The spa balances skincare with overall body care.
