Fancify combines a hair salon with an art studio. Bailey Witwer started it in 2014 as a private studio, and it moved to the current Ridgecrest location in 2018. The salon works by appointment only, with hours on Sunday and Monday from 10am to 8pm, Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm, and Thursday from 2pm to 6pm.

Hair color runs from three-hour appointments for partial highlights, partial balayage, and root coverage with optional toner, to four-hour appointments for full head highlights, full head balayage, bleach and tone, corrective color, virgin bleach out, and vivid or fantasy color. Both include a haircut and a blowout or braids. A 90-minute single-process color appointment is also available, and a 90-minute color drop covers vivid color without lightening, with the shade discussed by text or email first. A 90-minute overtime add-on is for first-time vivid clients, corrective color, or clients who have not been in the salon for more than three months, and it is used only after a four-hour color. Redo color appointments take two hours.

The art side includes Snail Dispatch, a monthly mailed package with an art print, a sticker, instructions for a creative project, and vintage or handmade ephemera, with no content tiers. Memberships are Monthly Snail at $12 for one month, Disco Snail at $66 for six months, and Golden Shell at $120 for twelve months. Art Journaling Workshops are guided, low-pressure sessions that mix simple art-making with journaling prompts and need no art experience; they are currently held once a month at Vulpine Tap Room. The gallery offers original paintings, sculptures, and prints, commission paintings are accepted in large or small sizes, and a 3D star wand tutorial is offered on the website.

Policies include no cancellation fee. Surge pricing applies to weddings, last-minute bookings, and holidays. The travel fee is $100 for trips within 25 miles, and for trips between 25 and 100 miles it is $100 plus $0.75 per mile. For trips out of town, the client pays any airfare, hotel, ferry, or other travel costs.
