ENVY Styling Studio

ENVY Styling Studio sits on 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley and draws clients from the surrounding desert communities, among them Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, Morongo Valley, Palm Springs, Palm Desert and Cathedral City. The studio handles both hair and skin, so a single visit can cover a cut, color, a facial or a waxing appointment.

On the hair side, the studio offers cutting and styling, hair color, and hair extensions from Babe, which are 100% human hair and are attached without heat, glue or chemicals. Lash and brow lift and tint services are also offered. Hair, makeup and ear piercing appointments are handled by stylist Cindy R. The facial menu runs from a 25-minute Express Mini Facial to a 50-minute Custom European Facial, which includes a choice of microdermabrasion or a mask along with cleansing, toning, moisturizing and a massage of the face, neck and chest. A Back Facial and a stand-alone Microdermabrasion Facial are also offered. Glycolic peel and light therapy can be added to any facial for $20 each.

Guests can also book full body unisex waxing and ear piercing. Professional products are sold in the studio, including Babe, Cote Hair, Olaplex and Lakme. The studio says Cote Hair products are made in a facility run on nearly all solar power, that its square bottles use 27% less resources and are recyclable, and that it partners with American Forests on carbon-neutral products. The studio says Olaplex is a single-ingredient, silicone-free and oil-free product that links broken bonds in hair during and after chemical services.

The studio says guest satisfaction is its first priority and that it aims to meet each guest's needs through innovation and excellence. It says its staff keep building their skills and learning new techniques as members of the beauty industry.

Visits are by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday; the studio is closed Sunday and Monday. A first appointment starts with a consultation of about 5 to 10 minutes. The studio asks for at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or no-shows with less notice require a nonrefundable deposit before future booking, plus payment for the missed appointment. Prices and availability may change without notice.
