About

Color is the core of the studio. The salon describes its color services as low-tox, gentle and safe, and uses PPD-free hair color. Its hair products are vegan and cruelty-free, and it uses K18 in its treatments. Keratin smoothing options are described by the salon as free of harmful chemicals and as suitable for pregnant or nursing clients. The studio specializes in cutting, coloring and styling wavy and curly hair, and holds Green Circle Certified Salon status.

The salon says it is carbon neutral, recycles 95% of its waste and plants trees to offset what remains. It gives free haircuts to people in need, runs school supply drives and supports local charities. It accepts hair donations for Matter of Trust: Clean Wave from as short as 4 inches, and for Children with Hair Loss with 8 inches of hair in good condition. Clients can ask the salon to mail a donation on their behalf. Booking is a la carte, so clients pay only for the services they book. The quoted price is what they pay, with no added charge for extra color bowls or for blowout add-ons such as curls or flat ironing. Clients can book online or submit a digital consultation form if they are unsure what to book. Online consultation requests receive a quote and service plan, with scheduling within 24 hours. A complimentary vivid color consultation is required before any vivid color service. Thinning hair consultations and a general 30-minute consultation are also available.

Hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Thursday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The salon is reached by text only at 469-545-1452, and it responds to contact form messages within 72 hours. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to shorten their appointment, go without the haircut, leave with damp hair, or rebook. Clients should give 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. No cancellation fees are charged. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice and no-shows require a 50% non-refundable deposit to rebook, or 100% for a second occurrence. A deposit from a client who reschedules with more than 24 hours notice is applied to their next appointment. Clients who are not fully satisfied can say so within two weeks, and adjustments are made at no extra charge. The team works commission with a four-day week, and stylists set their own hours. Stylists receive ongoing education, a mentoring program with the owner and master stylist, and free hair services.
