East Coast Permanent Makeup works in two areas: permanent makeup for clients at its Cornelius studio, and training for artists who want to learn the craft. Its owner, Noelle, leads both. Client services cover brows, eyeliner, lips, freckles, areola tattooing, scar work and cover-ups, and the business is listed for searches under those groupings.
Brows are a central service. Nano brows are made with a machine that uses an ultra-fine needle rather than a manual blade, and the business says the pigment is placed in the upper skin layers, which it says reduces the risk of scarring or spreading compared with microblading. Ombré brows, also called powder brows or microshading, give a filled-in look with color that is darker at the tails and lighter toward the front. Combination brows mix nano strokes with shading, and the business says they suit clients with little or no brow hair.
Scar and skin services are offered in several forms. Scar camouflage uses custom-blended pigments matched to the client's natural skin tone to conceal lighter or discolored scars, and stretch mark camouflage is handled the same way after a consultation. Scar revision uses microneedling with targeted serums, and the business says it often needs only one to three sessions for a noticeable improvement. Areola tattooing recreates the look of the areola with realistic color and shading. Cover-ups are handled case by case: photos are usually needed first to assess skin health, the earlier work and how its color healed.
Visits follow a few clear rules. A deposit is required to secure appointments and is non-refundable. Healing takes about two weeks, so clients whose plans involve water or sun should book before a vacation. Payment plans are available, and clients can request a plan link by text. Touch-ups are recommended about once a year, and the business says a touch-up is due when roughly 60% of the color has faded, restoring color rather than redrawing strokes.
Instruction is given one-on-one or in small groups. A three-day beginner course on nano, ombré and combination brows is $3,500, with a 50% deposit due four weeks before the class starts. A separate three-day course covers permanent eyeliner and lip blushing at the same price. A five-day bundle spread over two weekends includes all of these techniques for $6,500. Coursework addresses how skin is structured, skin types, hygiene practices, the amount of pressure applied, pattern planning, consultation and care before and after appointments, and working at the correct depth. Students get a complete kit, support after the course, entry to a Facebook group for students, and ongoing access to the instructor. An optional $500 add-on covers marketing, social media, Meta advertising, Google presence and SEO; it can be added to a class or purchased after completing one. The business states that artists do not need an esthetician's license in North Carolina to perform these services.
Keeps clients' skin health in view alongside the look they want, and invites questions before every appointment. Training is built around practical skills with ongoing support after the course.
