Dawn Farrell founded the studio and works as a curl expert with more than 20 years in curl styling. Her work centers on curl care and curl-by-curl cutting, and she keeps up with curl education by attending classes regularly.

Appointments start with hair that is dry, clean, and tangle-free in its natural curl pattern. Clients are asked to arrive that way, without a ponytail holder or clip and without brushing beforehand, and to review the client agreement before their visit. Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before a service; later cancellations may be charged up to half the scheduled cost.

The DevaCut is a dry cut for wavy to super curly hair, shaped one curl at a time in its natural state. It is paired with the Transformation Service, which includes a botanical cleanse and condition, styling, a coaching session for at-home curl care, and a dryer finish. A Pro Boost version adds a treatment that the studio lists for bond repair, frizz control, strength, and moisture. Color is offered as Curly Customized Highlighting or All Over Color, which the studio pairs with the DevaCut.

Works with curls in their natural state, using gentle, curl-by-curl methods and giving clients guidance for care at home.
