SATZ Hair is located at 1889 Carl D Silver Pkwy, Suite 27, in Fredericksburg. The salon builds each client's hair care plan around their everyday life, with a focus on wavy, curly and tight curl hair.

A curl cut at SATZ Hair takes about 2 to 2.5 hours and costs $205. It begins with a personal consultation, followed by a dry cut, a cleanse and condition, and a style and dry session. Clients leave with product recommendations for care at home. Before a curly cut, hair should be detangled, in its natural state, and free of heavy products, buns, braids or twists. New clients may be asked to fill out a short consultation form ahead of their appointment, and clients are asked to arrive on time.

Other services include a silk press for $125, which takes 1.5 hours and includes shampooing, blow drying, and styling with a flat iron or curling iron. An express curl cut for $105 takes one hour and is a dry cut meant for hair that was recently washed and set. Deep treatment is $40, while scalp treatment and detox treatment are each $50. Highlights, balayage and Pintura blonding include in-salon treatments and take-home aftercare options. For silk press and color, hair should arrive detangled and free of excessive buildup, and a deep cleanse is included.

After appointments, stylists share styling and maintenance tips, suggest products, and advise when the next visit should be booked.

The salon is currently hiring a part-time assistant and a commission hair stylist for the Virginia location. Commission stylists set their own hours and pricing and have unlimited days off. Booth renters can choose daily or weekly arrangements at flexible rates, and the booth rental package includes backbar shampoo and conditioner, towels, capes, and complimentary beverage service for clients.
