Dessy Hair runs as a private studio on the suite level of the Salon Village building on Pacific Avenue. Clients enter through the building intercom by dialing suite 115 and pressing the bell. The studio describes its atmosphere as calm and welcoming, and every appointment is planned around the individual client. Many of its regular blonde clients come from the Marina, Cow Hollow, Russian Hill, Pacific Heights and Nob Hill, and the studio also sees busy professionals and clients who care closely about personal style.

The color menu covers partial highlights, which are foiled at the hairline and crown, and full highlights, which are foiled all over. Both can be shaped to the look a client wants. The studio recommends partial highlights for regular maintenance and full highlights for new clients or for twice-yearly maintenance. Luxe Blonde includes a full head of highlights, balayage is hand-painted, root touch-ups use a single-process application, and color gloss adds vibrance and tone. Gloss, toner and other extra effects can be added to highlight services for an additional fee. Haircuts, blowouts and treatments are offered alongside color, and the salon also sells salon products through its website.

Appointments are booked online through Vagaro. The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Cancellations or reschedules should be made at least 48 hours ahead, or a fee of 100% of the appointment price may apply. Appointments can be rescheduled only once, and repeated cancellations or reschedule requests may be declined. Changes are made by phone or text at 415-316-7346. The studio may deny or cancel appointments without giving a reason. Cash and debit cards are accepted, along with American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard.
