DA3A Hair Studio is an independent studio located inside the Elite salon suite on West Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr. The name combines the owner's initials, D and A, with the suite number 3A. The space has two separate rooms: a main styling room that the studio describes as cheery and bright, and a shampoo room that is dimly lit and calming.

The studio is owned and run by Danielle Altman, a licensed cosmetologist who says she has more than 10 years of experience as an independent hairstylist. The menu covers color, highlights and balayage, cuts, extensions, Brazilian Blowout and other smoothing treatments, styling, braids, updos, and waxing with brow and lash services. For color, the studio uses Jack Winn Pro, which it describes as ammonia-free, botanical, and vegan, and it says it is the only salon in the area offering it for gray coverage. Root retouches can also be mixed to a custom shade in Jack Winn Pro or Goldwell.

Prices are starting prices, and the final cost can be higher if the hair needs more product, time, or skill. Prices may go up no more than twice a year. A consultation is offered at no charge, and one is required before hair is ordered for extensions. Some services carry a deposit: $250 for corrective color or vivids, $600 for hair extension services, and $425 for the Brazilian Blowout yearly package. Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment, and no-shows, are charged 50% of the booked service cost; that amount can be put toward a later service with the same professional. Appointments are confirmed by text, so clients need to keep text notifications on.

Payment is accepted by cash, Zelle, or card, and a card fee applies. Buy now, pay later options through Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay are available for packages at an 8% increase over the regular price, and in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000 after approval before the appointment. Clients who are unhappy with a service are asked to contact the studio within one week so adjustments can be made. The studio can be reached by phone at (610) 457-1200 or by email at danielle@da3ahairstudio.com, and text messages get the fastest reply. Hours are Monday 12 PM to 8 PM, Thursday 10 AM to 6 PM, Friday 11 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 8 PM. The studio is closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
