CutlerBay Braider works by appointment only, seven days a week, from a suite in Cutler Bay. Clients are men, boys, children, teens and women, and the service menu covers braids, twists, locs, plats, sew-ins, ponytails and consultations. Extra guests may join the appointment in the suite, though space is limited, and children must be accompanied at all times.

Booking is done through the website only, since text and phone bookings are not accepted. Appointments cannot be made on the day of or within 24 hours. A deposit or appointment fee is required, is taken off the service total, and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposit amounts vary by service. Clients can reschedule with the braider as availability allows, but day-of changes are not possible.

Session lengths depend on the style. Kids' braids for ages 7 to 9 run from about three hours without extensions to four hours with them, and kids' braids for ages 10 to 13 run from four and a half hours without extensions to five and a half hours with them. Other bookings start from thirty minutes for twists, locs and consultations, and go up to eight and a half hours for micro service. Braid pricing is based on hair from the waist to the lower back, and longer hair needs a length add-on. Extensions are included in the service price, and detangling or matted hair carries an up-charge of at least fifteen dollars.

Before a visit, clients are asked to send a picture of the style they want in reply to the confirmation text, and anyone with short hair can send a photo of their current length to check the style is possible. Clients should avoid applying grease, oil or leave-in product beforehand, and they do not need to perm, silk press or flat iron their hair first. Clients who have scalp conditions or allergies should mention them when booking or before the appointment. Clients may bring their own hair, which can change the price. Hair for sleek ponytails, sew-ins, bond-ins, crochet and track styles is not supplied or included in the price.

Arrivals get a fifteen-minute grace window after their appointment time. Anyone arriving later may have the visit moved or canceled, or may be assessed a 10% late fee. A client who would rather not pay that fee can reschedule or cancel instead, but the deposit is not refunded in that case. When the braider initiates a cancellation or change, the client can choose either a deposit refund or 10% off the service. Refreshments in the suite are complimentary, and tipping is appreciated but not required. Payment methods accepted: Afterpay, cash, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay, card and tap. Payments through Zelle, Venmo, PayPal or Chime are not possible.

Travel appointments can be arranged at the client's home on request and subject to availability, with the travel add-on booked. Travel time is counted in the appointment start time, and there are no refunds or reschedules for traffic delays. The home needs an accessible chair and a small table, and the travel add-on does not include a free wash.
