CurlGirlMichael is a single-stylist curly hair suite run by Michael Gilliatt inside Sola Salons. The suite is private, and the salon describes it as a safe, inclusive space for every curly hair type.

Services range from a 30-minute curly consultation, offered in person or by FaceTime for $30, to a three-hour Full Curly Experience at $350 that combines a cut, wash, condition, styling and a curly lesson. In between are a Curly Cut with Wash & Style at $240 for clients with an established routine, or $300 for extra long or extra thick curls; a $130 dry cut for clients who have had a curly cut before; a $180 wash, condition and style without a cut; and a $240 curly lesson. Scalp treatments can be scheduled, and special project sessions are available by approval in 30-minute, one-hour, 1.5-hour or two-hour blocks.

Before a visit, clients wash, detangle and style their curls, then arrive with them dry and worn loose. The suite does not offer color, perms or any chemical services, but clients moving on from relaxers, keratin, color or heat damage are accepted, with the note that results may take several appointments. Before and after photos may be taken, and parts of a session may be recorded.

Booking opens 60 days ahead, and a waitlist notifies clients when an earlier opening appears. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, and arrivals have a 15-minute grace period, after which the session may be shortened. Services are final sale, though adjustments can be requested within a week of the appointment. Payment is due at the visit by cash, Zelle, Venmo, credit card or contactless payment such as Apple Pay. Parking is free in the on-site lot, where spaces are small and the wider ones sit near the Starbucks.

The salon describes its cutting style as ageless and genderless, or gender affirming. It favors clean, natural beauty lines free of synthetic fragrance, with the aim of keeping curls healthy and hydrated.
